X-box 360 HD-DVD player price reduction

It seems that Microsoft will never learn and will always stay behind its competitors.

The Zune failed to compete with iPods, Windows is still rubbish, and the only thing that was at least partially successful is its X-box, although it too had many drawbacks and is not bringing predicted income. The most recent rumour says that the external HD-DVD player for X-box 360 will have its price reduced to $50. Of course it’s a good thing for all the consumers, but isn’t it a bit too late? Toshiba officially announced that it is going to abandon the production of HD-DVDs and the Blue-Ray is the standard now. Surely it wouldn’t be wise if Microsoft equipped its console with Sony’s Blue-Ray drives, but I think it is a bit too late for the Hd-DVD player for X-box to be successful. Too bad for all those who bought it.
