Lite-On Blu-Ray drive DH-4O1S-11 - cheap and powerful

Less than two month ago we informed you that Sony released a $200 BluRay internal drive for PCs.

Now there is even a cheaper one on the market. It seems that the end of format war already brings results to the consumers who not only know which format to chose, but can also buy the players at a lower cost. Now for as little as $130 you can buy an OEM Lite-On drive Model DH-4O1S-11. It reads is compatible with all the older discs like CDs and DVDs and of course with Blu-Ray discs.

This is a serial drive, meaning you’ll need a system with a SATA interface. You’ll also need a video card that supports HDCP, otherwise Blu-Ray’s copy protection will prevent movies from playing. And remember that BluRay has rather big requirements so if you’re planning to buy the Lite-On DH-4O1S-11 make sure you wont have to upgrade the rest of the hardware as well.
