Sony Ericsson W760 is going to be released in the second quarter of 2008, but we already know what it is going to look like and what it is going to do. One of its most interesting features is


undoubtedly the integrated GPS receiver. With its large 2,2-inch Qvga TFT display Sony Ericsson W760 might really guide you everywhere you want. Although in the pre-release version it sometimes disappoints among tall buildings Sony promises to improve it until the release date. As Sony Ericsson W760 is a mobile Walkman it supports many file formats, has several equalizer presets and the SensMe feature, as well as Shake control. In addition to that, W760 has an integrated FM radio with memory for 20 stations.

Sony Ericsson W760 will be available in three different color versions: Rocky Silver, Fancy Red, and Intense Black. It measures 103×48x15mm, so it is not the smallest mobile around, but thanks to


its sleek design it is very comfortable. Unlike in similar slider mobiles all keys are accessible and you should not have any problems with writing messages. At the back of W760 is the Walkman logo which blinks to the rhythm of the music that is currently being played. The camera lens of the built-in 3-Megapixel camera is well hidden so you won’t have to worry about scratching it – it is accessible only when the slider is open.

Since the release of the last model Sony Erricsson has made some changes in the menu layout and icon animation. The changes are refreshing and enjoyable. There is only one minor disadvantage when it comes to the Flight mode – you may choose to turn it on when turning the mobile on, but only with the SIM card inside. W760 has one more interesting feature – when you view messages in full screen you can adjust the font size, an option that many mobiles lack. One last important thing is streaming video with YouTube which is extremely easy with Sony Ericsson W760. To sum up, apart from minor disadvantages like the lack of video-call camera the Sony Ericsson W760 is a great new mobile, for sure worth considering. Selected W760 specs:
