Sony DSC-H10
Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-H10 is in fact an updated DSC-H3 with the majority of flaws corrected. The new Cyber-Shot DSC H-10 features 3-inch LCD screen with the resolution 230,000 pixels, Super Steady Shot image stabilization, ISO 100-3200, Face Detection and what is still quite new in such small cameras 10x optical zoom.
The design of the camera is not bad, but could be better. I mean, it does not look impressive but it is really handy, and although it is so little it feels very stable, so you can easily operate it one-handedly. The controls are placed comfortably and considering the small size of the camera all the controls are not only where they should be, but also the right size. At the top of Sony DSC H-10 is a pop-up automatic flash which appears only when it is needed.

As always in Sony cameras the menu in DSC H-10 is well done, although the large number of available options might be confusing for beginners. The chosen options are displayed on the screen, but you can adjust the amount of information displayed on the screen so that it does not obscure the view.
What novices will be satisfied with is the shutter release which when half-pressed automatically sets everything so when you press it further the photo you take should be really good. The overall response seep of the camera is satisfactory, although in low light it takes a bit more time to focus than in the daylight. Sony DSC H-10 has a continuous shooting mode which at 8-megapixel shoots about 2 frames per second for the first dozen of frames and then slows down to one frame per second.

Sony DSC-H10 has a few in-camera retouching options, such as trimming, red-eye correction, soft focus, part colour, fish-eye and cross filter. There is a number of Scene modes to choose from in DSC-H10: Twilight, Twilight portrait, Soft snap, Landscape, Beach, Snow, Fireworks, High Sensitivity, Advanved Sports shooting. Additionally, Sony DSC-H10 can record movies in a reasonable 640 x 480 resolution at 30 frames pre second, which is enough to assure great looks on a pc, or a flatscreen TV. Regrettably, zoom is deactivated in movie mode, but the optical image stabilization in on. At the price of $299.00 the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-H10 is a really good value for the money.
