LG has recently started putting more emphasis on the design of their products which is clearly visible in one of its latest mobiles – the LG KF510. The new mobile has quite a large 2,2’’ display and very nice looking metallic finish. Among its other important features are 3 megapixel camera, FM radio, easy to use and comfortable web browsing with great page rendering. The
phone has also some disadvantages, such as no 3G support, or poor file management (but you can get used to this of course), and what is rather important – poor display legibility in direct sunlight. The new LG KF510 can be included among the compact devices as its dimensions are only 104.5 x 49.5 x 10.9 mm, and as you can see in the pictures below the design is maybe not too innovative, but for sure appealing. Because of the high quality materials used in production of the LG KF510 it is rather heavy given its dimensions, yet it is very balanced and thus comfortable.

Below the 2.2″ 262K-color TFT display of QVGA resolution is a touch sensitive pad which is in charge of navigation. On the right side of the LG KF510 is the USB port and a microSD card slot. The microSD card slot is only visible when the handset is open which is a good idea and it does not harm the usability. When you slid the phone open you can see the 3 megapixel autofocus
camera lens at the back. Next to it is a small self-portrait mirror and a LED flash. Also at the back is the battery cover and underneath it the not-really-impressive 800 mAh Li-Ion battery, but as the phone is not on the market yet it is difficult to comment on the battery lifetime at the moment. Coming back to the front side of the phone – the keys on the keypad are large, so texting is not a problem, the display shows high quality picture with good contrast and brightness. And although the sun legibility could be better it for sure has already improved compared to older LG phones.

The LG KF510 offers very good quality voice quality on both ends of calls, good reception and in-call sound. And as I already mentioned the web browser is also very clear. The structure of the menus in LG KF510 is very straightforward, as are the customization options which enable you to adjust the three pre-installed themes to suit your needs. The phonebook is capacious – it can hold up to 1000 entries and is as easy to use as the other LG KF510 menus and options. Apart from the phone features the LG KF510 has a music player which performs quite not bad and even if you should feel dissatisfied with it, the phone has 10 equalizer presets, so you can adjust that too.
Last, but not least is the short description of the digital camera In LG KF510. The camera has plenty of settings and even the shake reduction. The 3-megapixel camera produces photos with good sharpness and precise colours. Moreover, the noise reduction is very efficient.
Although the handset’s price is still unknown I think it is worth recommending as its visually appealing, has all that a modern mobile phone should have and allows customization which for me is important. The detailed LG KF510 Specs are as follows:
