FujiFilm S10FS
FujiFilm released S10FS a long awaited digital camera with large sensor, 11.1 million effective pixels and a lens covering 14x zoom range.
Intro:
FujiFilm S100FS is quite a large digital camera with 2.5-inch LCD screen, 14.3x optical zoom, high resolution electronic viewfinder, and plenty of buttons with the most usually used settings and modes so that you don’t have to rummage through the menus. Moreover, the FujiFilm S100FS has very good high-ISO performance and sharp, high quality lens allowing you to go from wide angle to Macro and achieve good results.
The design:
FujiFilm S100FS is quite a large digital camera and measures 133.4(W)x93.6(H)x150.4(D) mm / 5.3(W)x3.7(H)x5.9(D) inch without any accessories. Without battery and a memory card it weights approximately 918g / 32.4oz. The camera has a pop-up flash at the top, but it also has a hot shoe if you feel the need to use an additional flash. At the bottom you will find the tripod mount and a battery slot. On the left side there are a few buttons (Dual IS, Continuous shooting) and sockets (USB, A/V OUT). On the right there is a memory card slot.
Performance:
Thanks to its large sensor and good quality lens the FujiFilm S100FS is an excellent performer. Its many pre-set modes allow you to easily adjust to the surrounding and thanks to the customizable settings you can improve even that. In fact, the most vital (for most photographers) functions have dedicated controls so you can quickly and easily switch them without going deep
into the menus. As the camera is constantly looking for focus in most cases it takes less than a second to fire off a shot. Moreover, the FujiFilm S100FS has three continuous modes which allow you to shot up to 50 frames in a single burst. Unlike most cameras, FujiFilm S100FS allows you to zoom in and out while in movie mode. In this mode the camera records 30 frames per second in 640 x 480 (VGA) resolution. The built-in pop-up flash has the range of 7.2 m and if it is not enough you can mount an external flashgun. The battery life is not too impressive as it allows you to take only about 250 photos.
Menus:
As mentioned before the FujiFilm S100FS has so many different shooting modes and buttons that probably only more professional photographer will look through the menus regularly. The menus are clear and easy to use and provide you with many adjustment options, such as eight different white balance settings, or sharpness and brightness settings.
All in all, FujiFilm S100FS is most definitely worth the money as it has all the essentials and only minor drawbacks which are to be found also in digital cameras by different manufacturers. The detailed FujiFilm S100FS specs are as follows:
