Samsung G400 Soul is the newest Soul family member with plenty of new features and outstanding specs.

Intro:
Samsung G400 has two 2.2-inch 256K-color displays, an internal one and external. The external touch-screen is perfect for managing multimedia and also works as a viewfinder when you want to take a photo with the Samsung G400’s 5 megapixel camera. The cell phone has 120MB of internal memory and a microSD slot. Samsung G400 has quick and pretty interface and a few customizable themes.


The design:
Samsung G400 weights 108 grams so it is not the lightest phone on the market but considering what’s packed inside it you should not complain. With its silvery finishing and external TFT 2.2” touch-screen Samsung G400 looks very neat. It does not have any unnecessary button and those which are there are placed very appropriately. On the right side you will find hold key and camera button together with the USB port. The top and the bottom of the cell phone feature no controls. At the back there is the 5megapixel lens and the LED flash.

Performance:
Samsung G400 is extremely loud. Your first impression might be that you will have to turn the volume down a bit in order not to hurt your ears. But I think it is a good thing as no matter the environment you ought to be able to hear your speaker, besides the sound is not somehow exceptionally muffled. The phonebook of Samsung G400 Soul can store up to 1000 contact with several fields for information about each contact. When you dial the number contact with the dialled digits are shown so it makes calling easier and quicker. To each contact you can add a photo, sound and even a short video.

With 120MB of internal memory and supord of microSD cards Samsung G400 is a quite powerful multimedia device. Fortunately, it comes with a nice music player which can play in the background while you’re doing other things with your phone. It also has several predefined equalizer settings and allows customization. The sound quality of Samsung G400 leaves nothing to complain about, so I won’t. The external display is great for managing the music player while the phone is closed. You can browse your music library by genre, author, composer or album, or create playlists. And when you’re bored with your music library you can listen to the radio with RDS.
The 5 megapixel camera also does great job. It can take photos of up to 2560 x 1920 resolution. The camera is designed to work with the flip closed and the external display as a viewfinder. The camera has plenty of settings, such as image size, shooting modes and effects thanks to which the photos look nice and clean. The camera of Samsung G400 even has face detection feature which works quite well. Some additional camera settings feature anti-shake, ISO and white balance, but even in auto mode the photos look sharp and without noise. The only drawback of the Samsung G400 camera is poor resolution (only QVGA) video recording.

Menus / user friendliness:
Samsung G400 has clear and logically set menus with attractive interface thanks to which you move around them in an intuitive way. In this model you can copy and move you files as you wish and not only to dedicated folders, but wherever you want. In most cases the phone will find the files when necessary and when it does not you will have to do it yourself. Thanks to the three pre-installed themes you will be able to adjust the look of the manus to suit your taste, but it needs to be said that all of them look great.
All in all, Samsung G400 Soul is a great phone which for sure deserves some attention If you are looking for an attractive and capable multimedia device.
