LG KF700 is yet another touch-based handset which is not quite competitive with the iPhone, but does what it was designed for in a pretty seamlessly.
Intro:
LG KF700 combines many features that other cell phones lack: pretty design, usability and relatively low price. The handset s good for browsing the net, as well as for browsing documents, or listening to music and watching videos. Of course, the LG KF700 has all the standard features such as support for video calls, FM radio and Google Maps pre-installed.

The design:
LG KF700 measures 102 x 51 x 14.5 mm and weights 110 grams. He handset is made of high quality plastic which does not creak or produce any other disturbing sound. The front is dominated by the 3-inch touchscreen. When you slide it the keyboard is revealed. The keyboard is comfortable to use and the buttons are responsive, which is important as you wil need those keys to enter any text. At the back of the phone is the 3 megapixel camera lens with LED flash. Next to it is the scroll wheel which is not that useful but at least looks nice. On the left side of the cell phone you will find only the not-so-useful wheel, whereas on the right side there is the dedicated camera key, touchscreen lock key, and the connectivity port where you plug the USB cable and the charger. On the top on LG KF700 is the microSD memory card slot. The bottom has no controls or ports.
Performance:
LG KF700 is not competitive with the Apple iPhone in terms of multimedia management, but it manages making phone call a bit better. LG KF700 does not have an accelerometer so there is no automatic creen rotation, but when you do it manually all websites look just great. Even after resizing the fonts there is no problem navigating as a minimap appears to help you find your way. Unfortunately the LG KF700 web browser does not support flash so in order to watch youtube films you will have to use the mobile phone version: http://m.youtube.com.
The multimedia player on LG KF700 supports most of audio files. You can browse you music by genre, artist, album, or crate your own playlists. The overall could quality is good, although it’s a pity that LG KF700 does not feature any equalizer presets. LG KF700 features also FM radio, unfortunately without RDS. The videos can be watched fullscreen in both portrait and landscape mode. When you watch any videos fullscreen, semi-transparent player controls appear on the touchscreen.
The LG KF700 easily manages Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint files, as well as PDFs. As in most phones you can only view the files, but not edit them.
The battery in LG KF700 is also not bad and should work for up to 280 h of standby time in a 3G network and up to 3 h of talk time.
Menus / ease of use:
LG KF700 comes with two pre-installed themes, but if you should dislike them you can download more from the Internet. Thanks to three different ways of navigating the phone – the touchscreen, the scroll wheel and the keyboard it is easy to find your way through the phone’s menus. All settings are logically grouped and the neat design of menus also makes it easier navigate.
The phonebook can store up to 1000 contacts with multiple fields foe each contact. You can add a photo or a ringtone for particular contacts or groups. What I liked about LG KF700 is that it provides some feedback when you use the touchscreen. The phone gives vibration feedback which can be disabled, or strengthened.
